I had such a hard time shooting this orchid! It grows in one of the indoor habitats at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It was freezing outside and at least 80°F in there, and it was all I could do to keep my glasses and my camera lens unfogged. ReplyDeleteLooks like Solandra longiflora. Appropriately, considering your description, it is also called chalice vine. It is said to have quite a “bouquet.”
