Skywatch Friday

Took this from a car the other day.  Don't think it really conveys
the majesty of this sky—but I've never seen one quite like it.
These amazing clouds were followed an hour or so later by the most
spectacular thunder-and-lightning display I've ever seen.  I'll bet
that plane that's just visible up there was experiencing a
bit of turbulence. Welcome to global warming?

  3. Gosh. I haven't seen anything like this myself. How magnificent ~ though I'll take your view of it over the view from the plane. Call me 'chicken'...

  4. What a cool shot--hope you weren't driving at the time--lol. In any event, it was a great catch under the circumstances. Brava!

  5. That sky looks like it was painted with layers and layers of gentle brush strokes, dried after each layer. That is really spectacular. The contrast of the softness of the clouds with the sharp outlines of the buildings is marvelous!

  6. The clouds are amazing in this photo. They remind me of wood grain, or a painting.
