A Paris pastry shop where you can find macarons,
that meringue-y, jammy, buttercreamy concoction
that the French do SO well. Pierre Hermé has arguably
Paris' best, but Ladurée provided our fix more than once.

And your beautiful photo of Ladurée lured me into commenting, dear Alexa! Their packaging is gorgeous. As far as the macarons ~ I look forward to doing my own comparisons between Ladurée and Pierre Hermé sometime soon-ish.
Ladurée is a MUST ! Everything in their shop is attractive, even the counters, boxes, shopping bags.... Have you ever seen the little "carosse" they use when selling during art exhibits ? Glad to read from you, Shell ! Hope it means you're feeling better !
looks like a lovely place to shop.

ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of LaDuree. Not only are there macarons wonderful, I love their hot chocolate.
ReplyDeleteLadurée windows are always fabulous with their fashionable fabrics and patterns... not to mention that macaron tree! miam-miam!
