Fragrant and festive

Do you have a favorite holiday-season
flower? I have to go with paperwhites.
These were on display in a very large
space (i.e. definitely not mine),
so the fragrance wouldn't overwhelm.

New York at Night 21

Seems as though the entire city is trimmed in
lights at this time of year. Lots of visitors enjoying
them—as I walked this block, I heard French,
German, Italian, and Japanese (but no English).

The Weekend in Black and White

When the holidays roll around, my cousin Kay
makes sure all the silver is ready for festive dinner
parties. There are tall, elegant candelabra,
but I like these little candlelights—which were
waiting to be polished and set around the table.

Happy Christmas* . . .

. . . from me to you!
(*or Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa—whatever you're
celebrating, I hope you're having a wonderful holiday~)
