Thursday Challenge—"happy"

My girl Kate looks pretty happy, doesn't she?
She's probably looking forward
to celebrating her birthday tomorrow.
Happy b'day, Katie!

Thursday Challenge—"happy"

And why shouldn't they be happy?
They're young, beautiful, in love, and (here's the
icing on the gâteau) they live in Paris!
I met them at a (now) über-trendy rooftop bar
where my friend and I were the oldest
people there by 30 or 40 years. We don't care
so much about that and had a great time

chatting with Sarah and Frédéric.  In my experience,
the young people who are really worth getting
to know are usually the ones who think you are too.

Thursday Challenge—"happy"

This is Diallo, whom I first met because I don't
have a car and he drives for a car service.
He's happy because he has a beautiful

family and . . . well, it's just his nature to be
glass-full-to-overflowing kind of guy.
And I'm happy that Diallo and I are now friends.

Thursday Challenge — "happy"

This is Katie, my mom's next-door-neighbor and
the happiest 2-year-old I've ever known.  This child
spent her first 4 months in an orphanage, being largely
ignored, and now has parents and two teenage brothers,
who all absolutely adore her (and who wouldn't?).

Thursday Photo Challenge: "Happy"

Why is this woman so happy?  Well, let's see:
She's in Paris, enjoying a gorgeous spring day in
the Luxembourg Gardens—and she's savoring a Ladurée
macaron (caramel au beurre salé, the best flavor, IMHO).
Happy? Actually, this looks more like sheer bliss to me!
