moon over Manhattan

When I came out of the Metropolitan Museum
last Friday, the moon—big and hazy— 
was rising over the city.

Moving in

 . . . on the Upper East Side, just down the block
from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
I didn't see these folks' furniture, but they
had some beautiful mirrors.   And no, I didn't—
it was already (conveniently) uncovered.

Not exactly what you'd expect to
find on the relatively staid Upper
East Side of Manhattan.  Whoever owns
this building dared to be different,
and I like it!  How about you?

The Weekend in Black and White

Not all the housing on the Upper East Side is luxury
housing.  (Actually, it's become one of the more
affordable neighborhoods in the city.)  This building
just a block or two from (decidedly not so affordable)
Sutton Place is definitely showing its age.

Can't tell you any more about this than
that it was in a small window of a nondescript
building on the Upper East Side. I was hurrying
to an appointment, but had to stop and snap a shot.

great meals compliments of good (and

generous) friends who live right around

the corner (with this amazing view).
