inSPIREd Sunday

This pretty little church was established back in
1842, in Rocky Mount, in the Blue Ridge
Mountains of Virginia. Some of my VA cousins
sing in the choir here.
{Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to
 all who are celebrating today!}

Trinity Churchyard

Trinity Church is down on lower Broadway

(at Wall St.).  The current building is
the third one, built in 1846.  (Its spire was the
highest point in NYC until 1890.)
Among the people buried here in the churchyard are
Robert Fulton, Albert Gallatin (the founder of
NYU), and Alexander Hamilton—Founding Father,
bad shot, and current pop-culture icon.

We Three Kings

Three Kings Day was this past Wednesday,
so that means the season is officially
over—and it's time to take down the tree.
These three kings were part of the
display at Trinity Church in Rocky Mount, Va.

Dr. King

They had some special services at Trinity church
(where I took this shot last week, looking past
the entrance and down Wall Street).
Hoping to see Rev. King's "I Have a Dream" speech,
which they sometimes show on PBS.  Moves me every
single time—how about you?
