Fly By Night

Last night my kids and I went to seek Duke Riley's Fly By Night,
an homage to the rock doves (aka pigeons) that have

been used since Biblical times to transfer messages
under the safe cover of nightfall.

  1. Don't know that film, but will watch for it. Love the photo. (Every time your page loads, I see pushpins almost all over but with a big hole where Belgrade "Yugoslavia" is....when are you heading this way?)

  2. Kind of like Brobdingnagian fireflies. Thanks to your link I was relieved to see that after the show the pigeons will be OK and not end up as I feared (2,000 rock doves take in a lot of bird food, a long-term expense). This was a nice video.

  6. While this is a great photo, it looks more like Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. Never have looked at great flocks of birds the same after seeing that film, but will check out Fly by Night.
