inSPIREd Sunday

This is St. Bart's Episcopal Church, at Park Ave.
and 50th Street. It's just about 100 years old,
and more ornate on the outside than it is on the inside.
They have a wonderful children's choir,
and their pipe organ is the largest in New York
(and one of the 10 largest in the world).

  1. (fascinating 10-minute doc on St. Bart’s organist and organ". And Bach's Missa in F: “Kyrie eleison”, performed at St. Bartholomew's Church that, if clicked on, would be so appropriate to have playing in the background on a Sunday.)

  2. What unique architecture for an Episcopal Church. The design on it is ornate, a fine subject for your photo.

  6. I've never seen this church before. Very unique and beautiful. I'll have to be sure to check it out on our next visit to NY. Thanks for sharing.
