Finally! NYC birds are not like the cooperative (and much larger) ones I photographed in the Galapagos. I'm always trying to shoot the birds in the botanic garden, and they tend to flit off the very second I get my camera to my eyeball. But this little birdie landed a couple of feet away and posed for me for at least 30 seconds (never took his eye off me though). The strong sunlight highlights every detail of those feathers. Stunning macro of this little character.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! I do not know this bird.
ReplyDeleteĎakujem - thank you to slovak :-)
ReplyDeleteThe orange contrasts so beautifully with the surrounding neutrals and the atmospheric green area. I really like it. And I wish I could capture birds like you do...they move! I tried to photograph sheep the other day...they spotted me immediately at some distance away...and off they went! I absolutely LOVE the photo art image! The colour is vibrant, the composition so intricate and intriguing - and ...it is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for being part of Mandarin Orange Monday#100:)
This is a great shot of the robin. So vibrant and clear! He is actually one of my favorite birds, and I always look forward to having them set up nests in my back yard. Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeletethat little bird did a perfect posing for your picture - great photo!
