ABC Wednesday—Q is for "Qu'ran"

. . . another way of spelling Koran.
This one is decorated with gold and lapis and
was made in Kashmir in the late 1700s.  It's
on display with other examples of Islamic art
(with many beautiful and also practical
items such as bowls, screens, and carpets)
at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

  3. Beautiful book. And like the book of the Christians, terribly misinterpreted at times; the Nigerian girls captured in the name of Islam do a disservice to the faith.

  4. This is just as beautiful as the bibles created by monks in the middleages.
It is real art and made by artists who are both pious and patient.
