Thursday Challenge—"machines"

All Saints is a clothing store on Broadway in
Soho.  The clothes aren't really my style,
but I love the way this place is decorated—very
industrial chic, with dozens (maybe even hundreds) of old
Singer sewing machines lining the walls and windows.

  1. I still remember Singer, this used to be the leading brand in sewing machines, it used to be in almost every house... Nowadays i hardly find it anywhere...

  2. I love your new banner!!! Not that I didn't love previous ones. And I look forward to what you have to show us every day.

  3. Your photo reminds me of my great-aunt who had a treadle Singer machine. She was a fine and exacting seamstress.

  4. I used to have one of these but it said Macy's on it. Then I sold it on ebay.

  5. My mom had one of these. Unfortunately, it sat under several feet of water during Hurricane Sandy—and that was the end of it. :~{
