"5 in 1"

This steel sculpture by Tony Rosenthal has
been here in front of One Police Plaza
for almost 40 years. The five interlocking circles
are meant to represent the interconnectedness
of New York's five boroughs.

  1. I was wondering what the 'five' was at first! I like all those arches with all those windows....

  2. The composition of this photo impresses me more than the sculpture itself :)

  3. Very nicely composed and captured image. I suspect, like most sculptures, one has to view them in person in order to get the full impact of the artists intent. Happy RTtoo.

  4. Great photo! I especially find the apt windows fascinating (a la Edward Hopper).

  5. There are easily five styles of architecture in this photo. Great perspective with a punch of "rouge!"
