ABC Wednesday—X is for Bo"X"ing Day

{And if I'm cheating just a bit, please
keep in mind that this is my 8th "X" post.}

One explanation for why this holiday is called
Boxing Day is that servants, who had to
work on Christmas, were allowed the next
day off and their employer would give them
a box with a gift in it before they set off
to celebrate with their family.

    I am a Canadian and yupper mad store time today but I am away from it all in living up north.

    My daughter will be going as she is in the city.Her and hubby will go.

    Yes Bargains but the going out paying for things is the worse.

    You have to have a lot of T.C. woth ones standing.

    It's interesting how there is no definitive explanation of the history of Boxing Day. Especially surprising for a country that has an extensive and well-documented history. Adore your photo. And, you're forgiven. Eight "X" challenges is pretty brave.

    Ah, one of my sisters enjoyed Boxing Day in London with her husband today. They had to walk to their hotel in a pouring rain as they arrived on Christmas Day with no public transportation.
