hearts for sale

Found these little wooden hearts at

the flea market in Paris—
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

Ruby Tuesday

I visited a huge indoor flea market recently, and
the thing I really wanted to buy was this
beautiful old antique dollhouse. (I didn't get it—
it was $400 for one thing.)  On the other hand ...

It was completely furnished!

Thursday Challenge—"symmetry"

All lined up at a flea market: these
water-bearing putti and big, fat planters.
I think this image fits the challenge . . .

Mellow Yellow Monday

I love stained-glass windows—and I hit the
jackpot recently at a flea market in Virginia—not
that I have any place to put something like
this (great colors though, aren't they?).

Shadow Shot Sunday

Went to a huge flea market down in
Virginia last week.  Naturally, what caught
my eye were (what else?) these shadows.

abc wednesday - F is for "flea market"

This one's the Marché aux Puces,
in Paris.  Back in the sixties I found
some incredible bargains here.
My best buy?  After some serious
haggling, I snagged a 19th-century
purple velvet cape for 50 francs ($10).
Think those days are long gone, but
it's still fun to look.
