Autumn in Paris: These wouldn't be
here long—in my experience, concierges
and shopkeepers both are very
fastidious about keeping the sidewalks clean.

Weekend Reflections

Say "cheese."   Better yet, say fromage—because
this shop with cameras old and new is in Paris.  One
of these days maybe I'll have a really good
camera—and go back to Paris to use it!

The "blue" hotel

This is the Hotel Original, on Blvd. Beaumarchais, 
near Place de la Bastille.  I've never stayed
here—though I might if I could afford it:  
When my friends and I wandered in and asked
 if we could take some photos, the concierge 
was totally gracious and welcoming.
