I don't know, but I really hope it wasn't serious, considering how long it was taking these fire trucks to get through the midtown Manhattan traffic. [Linking back to Ruby Tuesday and Our World Tuesday.] |

Where's the fire?
I've never seen a NYC fire boat at work, but usually when they're in "ceremonial" mode, with water spraying in all directions. First time was when they joined the tall ships here on the Hudson on July 4, 1976; last time was when one of them accompanied the Queen Mary 2 as she made her way out of the Buttermilk Channel on her way home to England (see here). Mellow Yellow Monday
Happy Holidays from the good men and
women of the NYFD. This nicely decorated
fire truck was parked right in front of
Bloomingdale's. (Yes, I know the truck is
red, but the hoses are yellow!)

Mellow Yellow Monday
Just have to say: The NYFD is always on it!
NYC firefighters do a lot more than just
fight fires. Personally, I'm pretty much in
awe of the men and women who choose
to do that tough job.
