Weekend Reflections

I borrowed this photo from my daughter
Lila, who shot this display of sparkly
green glassware at the Brooklyn Flea
(which I've featured before).

abc wednesday — R is for "remedies"

Found these at a local flea market here
in Brooklyn.  Don't know if these "cures"
actually worked, but the bottles are pretty.

Mellow Yellow Monday

So why is it that people don't really wear hats anymore
(unless it's 4° below, that is)?  Saw these at the
Brooklyn Flea—I'll take the straw job with the
three white flowers; anything strike your fancy?

Mellow Yellow Monday

I've shown you the Brooklyn Flea once before.  It's held every
weekend in an old bank building, the kind they just don't make
anymore. This one has soaring ceilings, murals and marble,
and fabulous brass chandeliers.

mellow Yellow Monday

There's a fun flea market that takes place
every weekend in Brooklyn. On Sunday,
it's held in a former bank building—these
vendors have set up down in the bank's
windlowless vault.
