ABC Wednesday—U is for "Ukraine"

I work right around the corner from the Ukrainian mission
to the U.N.  Here's what it looked like a few weeks ago.
Now all this has been cleared away, and there's a
railing around the fence and two policemen keeping guard.
What's next, I wonder (here and there).

  1. Lots of Ukrainian-Americans in my hometown of Binghamton, NY when I was growing up.

  2. The situation in the Ukraine is very alarming. I really hope and we all pray that there will be a speedy turn for the best. I have had enough of WWII, even if that is a life time ago..
    Thanks for your post.

  3. Oh dear! I hope the situation resolves itself and Russia will leave them alone now that they have elected a new leader.

  4. It's a very scary situation. Do politicians study history?
