Thursday Challenge—"flowers"

You take your olfactory chances when you ride
the New York subways. You might find
yourself cheek by jowl with someone whose
hygiene habits are sketchy at best—or
you might get lucky like I did the other day
when the person next to me was toting these.

  1. lucky indeed! these are some awesome flowers.
'cheek by jowl' - I love how you paint a very vivid picture Alexa.
    ; )

  2. That's really close. I thought it was your bouquet at first. (Have you ever thought that the Paris metro smells like talcum powder....?)

  3. I am wondering if she was a bride? What a gorgeous bouquet!

  4. Thanks, Lily!

Bibi -- the old wooden cars smelled a bit like my grandmother's Hoosier cabinet.

Genie -- It was a very nice young man who was delivering them to someone.

Thanks, merci, grazie, danke, hvala, gracias, spasibo, shukran, dhanyavaad, salamat, arigato, and muito obrigado for your much-appreciated comments.
