Happy Easter from the Minor Basilica of San Lorenzo in Lucina, in Rome. There's been a church on this site since the 5th century, and the current building dates from the 17th century. Like many Roman churches, the location (set cheek by jowl with other buildings) and fairly simple façade belie the splendor within. [To see more churches from around the world, go here.] |
Have a very Happy Easter. Fine image for the day.
