The Weekend in Black and White

The mercury-glass candle lamps
remind me of all the ice we've had around
here so far this year.  The forecast

for today is temps in the 50s and sun—
but snow again next week.  Oh well.

Candle lantern

One of the things I've tended to amass
over the years (along with Eiffel Towers, salt
cellars, and egg cups) is candle lanterns. I had a
candle lit in this one the other night and had
to experiment with my iPhone macro lens.
Though I am trying to pare down
my "stuff," I admit I'll

probably keep this.

Shadow Shot Sunday

I put these candle lamps out because
like the way they look all together when
the candles are lit.  Come late
afternoon I discovered a bonus—
and think I like the shadow even more.
