the weatherman got it right

Another image from our recent storm—
this was Saturday at noon.  For some reason,
I thought I was going to the park—ha!
Gusting wind (to 50 mph) made me turn back
when I was still within sight of my
building (almost visible at top left). Really
had to hand it to this intrepid dad!

It'll all start melting today, but it was
beautiful (if inconvenient) while
it lasted.  Here's the street lamp outside
my apartment, dripping with icicles.

That's My World

Went for a little walk (more like a trudge—through 3- and 4-foot drifts)
around the neighborhood.  Took me an hour to cover a distance 
that normally takes about 10 minutes. The cars that weren't buried
were either abandoned in the middle of the street or stuck! 
Love the sign in the photo at bottom right: Keep Intersection Clear.
Snowshoes (and ski poles) were definitely the best way to get around today.
