This is the Fondation Louis Vuitton, one of Paris's newer art spaces (it opened in 2014 in the Bois de Boulogne, and was designed by Frank Gehry). There is some interesting art on display here, but the main artwork is the building itself. [To see more Weekend Reflections, visit James's meme.] |
I like the way the colorfully-checked, dreamy, mirage-like reflection is contrasted with that strip of vividly-real stuff across the top.
ReplyDeleteSo interesting ~ not only does the building look fascinating, but your photograph draws me right in! This was built way after my days of living in Paris...yet another reason to plan a return visit (as if I needed one!!)
ReplyDeletePhantastic picture, great colors and an artful Impression!
ReplyDeleteNice shot from the interesting bulding!
ReplyDeleteI like the refelction in your photo!

What a cool picture! My last trip to Paris was in Dec 2014 a couple of months after this place opened. Sadly, I didn't find out about it until a month after I got home and saw some reflection photos online. :-(
