As it turned out, I didn't get to see a whole lot of polar bears when I was up in the Arctic—and the ones I did see were pretty much a speck on the horizon, even with a 600mm lens (well, you can't get close to them anyway, unless your ship is equipped to deal with pack ice and you get lucky). ReplyDeleteWell, we still have the memory of this. But then we still have a kind of memory of these. Different fates we hope.
If global warming continues at the current pace, this may be the only way we get to see polar bears. Good shot, at least the bear posed for you.
