This land . . . which land?


I believe this mural—which I found last year in
Bordeaux—delivers a positive message.
What strikes me about it right now are the words
of Woody Guthrie's famous protest anthem
at the top, especially after Lady Gaga just sang
them Sunday at the Super Bowl.

    I do not know when I have written more emails, made more calls to Congress or signed more petitions. Let's take our land back.

    As a Canadian I feel for my American friends. Of everyone I have met through blogs I have yet to meet anyone who is for all this crap.

    I think our new President is unwittingly revitalizing public participation in our governance. We must remain vigilant and say no to undemocratic principles and policies. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
