a head of her time

In the Capitoline Museum, in Rome:
I don't know who sculpted this
bust of a Roman lady from many, many
years ago—but I'm blown away
by the folds and patterns in that marble!

She's joined by a few dozen
 her compatriots.

[Linking back to Macro Monday.]

  1. It is an amazing piece of sculpture!

  2. Great pun. Considering that the times zones of England and Italy are an hour apart I was thinking about her (above) relationship with my friend’s herb garden near those English white cliffs along the English channel. Timewise, she (above) is (being in Rome) ahead Dover thyme.

Thanks, merci, grazie, danke, hvala, gracias, spasibo, shukran, dhanyavaad, salamat, arigato, and muito obrigado for your much-appreciated comments.
