whose foot?


This gold reliquary, in the church of
San Giovanni dei Fiorentini, in Rome,
holds the foot of Mary Magdalene . . .


or so they claim.  I guess you
just have to take it on faith.

    One sometimes finds odd things in churches, and this qualifies. Like your photo's abstract quality, perfect for the subject.
