At my favorite Paris restaurant: Circonstances.
We were saying goodnight to Franck and Karin, the
very talented owners of this place—and I
noticed that they were ready to pour the wine
for the next day's lucky customers.

Next best thing to a fire in the grate—at a
restaurant that was new-ish when
I visited Budapest a couple of years ago.
The owners were welcoming and the
bread was freshly baked (always a good sign).
I hope they've made a success of it.

Weekend Reflections

Had a celebratory dinner recently at NoMad.
The ambience was hip, the food was
delicious, and the main room has a glass ceiling.
So, when someone told me that we missed running into 
Kanye, Kim, and North there by one day, was
I disappointed or relieved?  What do you think?
