Thursday Challenge—"peaceful"

The shells I showed you on Monday were
found on this rocky beach—a very peaceful spot
on a chilly almost-spring Sunday.
(The beach is in Greenport; that's Shelter
Island across the Peconic River.)

Skywatch Friday

I took this shot on a beach too (though not
the same one as on yesterday's post). This looks
kind of peaceful, doesn't it? Just a pretty sky at
that magical time called "the blue hour."  What
you can't see is that there was a big party going
on: food, drink, live music, dancing.
Not at all peaceful, but fun!

Ruby Tuesday

This fire truck was riding the ferry from the
North Fork of Long Island to Shelter Island.
We were all—fire truck too—headed to a big
beach party for charity. May be hard to tell here,
but the nice firefighter was actually very
engaged with this little boy and his parents.

Skywatch Friday

A party on the beach on Shelter Island
(where yesterday's post was from too)—
friends and family, good music, and a
beautiful sunset to boot! Life is good.

thursday Challenge — "fun"

A costume party in a barn that's been
retrofitted as party central: dance floor
downstairs, bar up—add in some rockin'
sounds (The Lone Sharks, who else?), and
you have some major fun! I especially like
those cute cowgirls (but I would!).

Halloween encore

My brother's band, the Lone Sharks, kept Halloween
going for one more night with a party on Shelter Island.
Everyone caught the last ferry off the island.
