I just got back from visiting friends who have moved to Sarasota, Florida. This huge hedge grows beside their driveway. Day before yesterday, the temp down there was 83°F (28°C) and I was swimming laps in their pool; what we have here in NYC today is cooold and snow— what a difference a day (and 1,000 miles) makes! ReplyDeletemuch love...
The contrast in temperatures in the USA with one season is difficult to fathom. I adore the frenzy of colour provided by bougainvilleas, but unfortunately I've had no luck growing them. Best wishes for 2015.
ReplyDeleteThe bougainvillea is lovely. A gorgeous sight, much better than snow.. I need to move.. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteMy bougainvillea hanging basket is indoors for a few days. Temps too cold out side for the next few days.
