Alexa, that really is a stupendously gorgeous shot! {Are you a staff photographer as well as copy editor?} And since you have your psychic vibes going on with Eric and his Paris sunset {snap}, could you tell us if he's nearly ready to depart NZ for Australia???
Shell -- Thanks! Lynn would be very envious of my psychic connection with Eric, don't you think? It doesn't extend to his current whereabouts, unfortunately. Is he going to Brisbane? Do you two have a rendezvous planned?
Ooo-hoo, I think dear Lynn would have just a slightly delicate blush of vert ;)
No secret or blatant rendezvous planned with Eric but I live in hope. With his long list of fans and Australia having so many spectacular destinations to choose from, all the planets would need to align for me to be so lucky. But I am a Sagittarian and we are lucky {there has to be a flip side to living on the edge of Nutsville - or should I say Ville d'Insensé}. I will whistle a happy tune and keep my fingers crossed.
TG, I love your poeticism ~ the link was beyond my grasp but I'm happy to have a dash of Carlos in my morning coffee. Muchas gracias!
TG -- thanks SO much for the link! How did you know that I have loved Carlos since . . . forever? (I'm remembering Spain, 1969–70. We had 3 albums that we played over & over & over: Santana, The Stones' Let It Bleed, and Crosby, Stills and Nash —which also made us feel very special as we drove all over Morocco playing "Marrakesh Express" on our 8-track!).
Ahhh! If I was a true Santana fan like Alexa, I'd have known that, TG. I love his music when I hear it but have never acquired one of his albums. Tsk, tsk.
TG -- that's the one! In fact, that might possibly be my absolute dead fave album cover ever. Although . . . let's not forget the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper (shot by my friend Michael Cooper) or for that matter, Revolver, or the Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers cover . . . clearly, I could go on and on, but it's 3:30—wait, springing forward so make that 4:30 am. Goodnight!

"Red sky at night, Brooklyn's delight..." and ours!
ReplyDelete"Red sky in morning, a line is forming..." to check out Alexa's latest photo posting.
Yes, the synchronicity between you and Eric is preternatural. Or one of those words.

Shell -- I hope you DO get to meet Eric. He's just what you would expect: intelligent, interesting, and totally charming.
ReplyDeleteShell, the link was a tad abstruse, There is no song titled "Supernatural." Just the album from which that link ("Smooth") was a major cut.

ReplyDeleteAlexa, 8-tracks? Wow, that took me back!
Might this be one of Alexa's favorite album covers, as it is mine?
ReplyDeleteJudging by the vintage, this is hand-drawn art? The concept and execution are beautiful.
