New York at Night 17

I live very near this arch that reminds me so
much of Paris (not a coincidence). It's the
Soldiers' and Sailors' Arch, built about 30
years after the Civil War as a tribute
to "the defenders of the Union."

[It's Mellow Yellow Monday. To see more, go here.]

  1. How appropriate then that the colors red, white, and blue pertain to both the American and French flags.

If that is green on the left we can add the Italian flag colors. And yellow? With the red and blue we have the colors in the Ecuadorian flag!

    Coincidence?

  2. I don't think I've ever seen this - I must visit!

  3. Very pretty lit up at night, and I think very impressive in the daytime.
    Have a great day!
